It’s been important many times in recent European history. It was important in bringing Britain to the war in WWI. It was important as the place the Nazis invaded France from in WWII. It was also important as their last stand in the Battle of the Bulge. It was important as our way into Germany in WWII. It is important to the EU and to the International Court of Justice. Little Belgium has been very important in European history.
