At the grocery store that day? Doubtful. But will outlawing guns prevent crazy people from killing others? No. They’ll find a way. The solution is not to punish law-abiding citizens by removing a very effective way of defending themsleves. BTW, it’s, like, in the Bill of Rights which specifically gives rights to people to protect us from an oppressive government. It has to do with individual freedom - or something.

I’m tired of saying this over and over again.

Crazy people will find ways to kill us, yes.

But on the other hand will it be as easy for them?

Of course it won’t be.

Its a trade off of one for another and the goal should be to make it as hard as possible for crazy people to harm us without infringing on the rights of others in any meaningful way.

The problem is that its hard to figure out what is the best and most effective method for dealing with this problem.

I’m gonna stop arguing this point now because like Floral pointed this is a very entrenched issue for many people, myself included so best not to argue it this late at night when it gets harder and harder to think clearly…
