I utterly shocked to see that all these tough-talking reactionary pundits are completely losing their shit. I never could have anticipated that they were all completely fake, self-absorbed wimps buoyed only by continuous immersion in a mythology in which their opponents are weak and incompetent. But doubtless there is zero relationship between the fragility of their egos and the larger worldview they espouse.

There is also zero chance that they will sequester themselves and establish a new mythology in which they made no mistakes, nor underestimated anyone, and this situation arises from the defects of everyone that isn’t one of their supporters. Nor will they boost their fragile egos by deciding that, evidence aside, they are the only patriots and that everyone else is, in fact, disloyal and fundamentally unworthy of a vote or even the basic label of American.
