This is whole episode is just surreal. The speed with which this has happened is breathtaking (in the Seinfeldian sense). You have huge swathes of people, egged on by political operatives from one of two national parties (with a huge assist from the MSM) viciously smearing a soldier that was held captive for the last 5 years (along with his parents) with nothing more than hearsay and innuendo. No more than 6 months ago (and if you’d have asked, probably as recently as last week), they were yelling to do whatever needed to be done to get him back.

Now? Fuck him. He’s a traitor. The guy hasn’t even issued a public statement. There has been no investigation. Nothing. It’s well and truly unbelievable.

And the people that are having this shoved in their faces? Again, unbelievable.

Why? All because it’s a Democrat that did it. Where have we gone wrong?
