Is it wrong for me to think that the Bernie and the Berners, as overwhelmingly white and male as they are, were not above using West and Turner as beards, just like the GOP, so they can say, “lookie, black people like us too!”?

If anything, it does indicate they didn’t know the lay of the land. And that indicates an issue. On the flip side it may indicate what West and Turner think too. A whole bunch of people using each other.
