State-sanctioned “cancel culture”?

I noticed when we when to Krakow in 2016 that Polish TV was playing endless programs, films and documentaries on great Polish feats of arms from Napoleonic times to the wars with Soviet Russia, all stressing the heroic sacrifices of the Polish people.

They are taking a page from the post-Cold War playbook of fusing nationalism with religious identity to create a theocratic state.

Poland’s version of right wing AM radio is Radio Maria, a religious/nationalist cesspool that’s been brain washing people for decades. PIS has been smart enough to increase welfare payments to low income folks.
