That’s not entirely true. Polls have shown that public lays the blame for the recession on you know who: GWB. Whatever becomes of this remains to be seen. So I’m John Q. Public right? Well. “Bush gave us the recession and the Republicans refused to raise taxes on those rich bastards which led to this downgrade.”

Sooner or later the right wing has to make up their mind on this S&P decision. On the one hand they’re saying “this downgrade will mean nothing in the long run and in fact it’s good”. On the other hand they’re saying “this is all Obama’s fault!” So how can the S&P decision be a good thing or not that serious while at the same time trying to “blame Obama”. That doesn’t make sense.
