They are absorbed by some material and their energy heats it up. Some, depending on wavelength, bounces off, so there isn’t just one reaction to an object.

Some particles (neutrinos) are small enough they pass through the empty space of molecules and atoms. We’re mostly empty space.

I thought we were bags of water.
