Most motor homes use similar carbureted engines; in fact, the earlier Lincolns used the exact same 460 as in the same-generation Ford trucks and other heavy Ford-powered vehicles, including motor homes. Fuel-injected heavies didn’t come until the 1990’s, when CAFE standards started to tighten on trucks as well as cars. Trucks and other heavy vehicles were the last bastion of powerful, carbureted, large-displacement engines in the United States.
