re: #184 John Hughes
Itās amusing (not) how everybody redefines āterrorismā to make sure they are not included.
āBomberā Harris was the only British Armed Forces top commander of WWII to not get a peerage after the war. He was an outright and forthright terrorist, planning the German city-burning raids his RAF bomber force carried out while taking horrendous losses, suicide bombers in all but name. There are many memorials to Bomber Command, a scant few for their commander.
āTreason doth never prosper: whatās the reason?
Why, if it prosper, none dare call it treason.ā
The first Israeli government was formed mainly from Irgun terrorists, the people who planned and carried out murderous acts against civilians such as the King David Hotel bombing but no-one that mattered called them terrorists after they had succeeded in their aims and established a country through their acts of terror.
