It’s 101 here in the Hub of the Plains Dunes, Lubbock. We have had no measurable precipitation since May 12. We already have a record for days over 100, with two months of hot weather left. My little farm is a bust, unless there is a market for mummified careless weeds.

It is currently 105 in town right now. It’s our fortieth day at or greater than 100. No change in the forecast for the next week. Brutal.
