I don’t see that distinction. The Tea Party was born from the same populist anger. Opposing TARP, Bailouts, ineffective stimulus, housing crisis, etc. They just approached the problem from from a faulty perspective. I think the OWS, just like the Tea Party, is based in legitimate concern and anger but they’re equally flawed in their approach.
The rallies are going to accomplish nothing aside from possibly spawning more protests. They aren’t interested in solutions, they’re interested in marches.

No, it really wasn’t. It was born because powerful cult media demagogues egged it on. Willing cultists were fed the things they should be angry about, and the whole country agreed to pretend more or less that they were real.
