I always liked that Garfield factoid. Writing Latin with his right and Greek with his left. I believe I also read he spoke fluent German. He’s obviously not well remembered since his time in office was very short but James Garfield was a very smart guy. Makes me wonder what his presidency could have been life if he hadn’t been assassinated. Anyhow the bit about Truman and Reagan writing right handed leads me to believe they were forced to switch by a parent or teacher at an early age. I know that’s what my grandmother tried doing to my uncle.
