Oh, we have plenty to stand on. But yes, I’m old enough to remember trying to influence the Palestinian elections and then helping Israel starve them out because we didn’t like the result. And then there’s the Iraq thing…that’s meddling too, but on a larger scale.

I just think we’ve become an online nation of rage junkies and we’re looking for any excuse to be angry enough to justify not respecting the fact that we lost. It sucks, and we’ve got a long four years of real battles to fight with Trump and the GOP holding both houses. That’s what I’m saving my energy for.

I’ll tell you what has me not just outraged, but also deeply concerned - It has been obvious since last year that Trump was very, very soft on Russia. Disconcertingly so. Here’s a guy who’s constantly harping on how weak Obama is, and how we need a strongman to stand up to our enemies.

Except Russia.

Then there was the Convention, where the Trump campaign pretty much let the crazy Right put together their wildest dreams of militarism, theocracy, and plutocracy, with absolutely no interference, or even the slightest hint of giving a shit about any of it.

Except Russia.

Then there’s all his Foreign Policy stuff from the campaign, and the debates, where he believes any crazy conspiracy theory about any group or country, as long as it’s negative.

Except Russia.

Back in July, we largely assumed the platform thing on the Ukraine was Manafort. But when Manafort left, Trump continued his embrace of Putin.

In an election where everything counted, the steady drip of the Podesta emails from Wikileaks, combined with the breathless response of the press to each new release just worked to drive down enthusiasm. Did that, in and of itself, lose the election? Hard to say, but 100,000 votes in 3 states go the other way, and we’re all talking about how Clinton has a mandate with her 3 Million vote victory.

What is so disturbing to me is not only just how unbelievably, openly Trump is siding with Putin against our own Intelligence Community, but also that the GOP is going along with it, that they’re willing to accept Putin’s help installing Trump, turning a blind eye, just for the chance to fuck 99% of America to enrich 1%.
