When my wife worked at Digital Equipment, she and another engineer were dealing with a piece of equipment, where the manual actually said some setting was to be set in furlongs per micro-fortnight.
The actual conversion factor is 1mph=0.0003720237562634 furlongs per fortnight.
one thing that Europeans do that still drives me dippy is to measure gasoline consumption (canโt call it mileage as they donโt use miles) in liters per 100 km.
Our Smart used to use 3.4 liters.
My current Citroen uses more than twice that but seats five people and has room to transport things like bicycles, washing machines and multiple musical instruments.
