IMHO a bigger concern would be someone w/ components from a lost, stolen or recently built [iranian] bomb in a backpack setting them off in a city. At that point a missile defense shield is pretty useless.

Check Kragar’s recent post—that’s the best, most current and effective defensive strategy (aka a damn good offense).
