it’s an odd phenomena. For the most part those in my office (I am a software engineer) are all moderate/liberal but I’ve known plenty elsewhere who are die hard ron paul/libertarian types, they were also fans of fallout and other post-apocalyptic stuff.

Really quite something! I work in the game industry as an animator/artist, but it’s all contract stuff from home. Most of my software engineer friends tend to be more of the sparkly hippie nerd type, but I see so much of the IT/tech=Ron Paul phenomenon. I love post-apocalyptic imagery if it’s fun, like beyond Thunderdome. People with dreadlocks in the desert riding in dune buggies. More Burning Man, less Red Dawn. :D
