I can see on the blogs that British right wingers are painting the celebrations as proof that the far left is vile. It could be for all I know. Perhaps, as they claim, there is more hatred because she ended a welfare system and broke up entire neighborhoods that were near no source of jobs.

But the poll tax is still enough of a crime to make her deserve to be spit on.
