I just shat out a mini-rant at dKos…as much as I welcome actual political discussion (it’s what they’re best at) the last four months have been painful due to GG and now Syria:

There’s still plenty of time to fuck ourselves

before November 2014. All that Republican infighting will go to waste as progressives bond with the tea party to stir shit up over Syria. Yeah, it sucks there and no matter what we do someone will be pissed off. Far better to keep the extremists happy (those who hate Obama and want to see him fail, and those who hate Obama but want him do do even more) so the Sunday talk shows don’t run out of material.

Of course, if Syria calms down we still have the NSA to fuck ourselves with. Breaking: Spies spy! And if you don’t think that piece of shit Rand Paul loving libertarian Greenwald’s going to milk that tit for every penny he can at the expense of Democrats, you’re not paying attention.

Then there are the stories that won’t go away…Benghazi - Yes, Fox will flog that penis until it’s just a nub - even with Juan Williams telling Wallace & Friends this morning that there’s nothing there and it’s “all in their heads.”

Do I want to be hopeful for 2014…fuck yeah. But right now there are a lot of people pissing in my porridge.
