“Computer programming” is not manual labor, it requires higher education and specialized skills. Also: we don’t call it “computer programming” any more. Now it’s “Java Developer” “asp.net developer” “SQL Developer” “Oracle Developer” etc. etc.

I know, but he acts like manufacturing work is a noble calling when he’s part of a section of society that looks down on people who do the manual labor that manufacturing requires.
