Well, the press woke up here in Nebraska. Sheriff Clark is full of it. There were no arrests in Nebraska.
Three protests in Nebraska, Omaha, Lincoln, Loup City (population 1,029). Loup Cityâs newspaper is not on the Internet (the Sherman County Times, like most newspapers in Nebraska). There is a Facebook page for the march. I would estimate between 100 and 150 in their photos, in a red state town of a thousand.

Downtown Omaha echoed with loud chants of âLove trumps hate!â on Saturday as thousands of marchers filled the streets in one of the biggest protest rallies in the cityâs recent memory.
Police estimated between 12,000 and 14,000 women, men and children participated in the Omaha womenâs march â a crowd size that far exceeded organizersâ expectations of 2,000 to 4,000 participants.
âIâve been in traffic seven years and this is easily â without a doubt â the biggest rally weâve ever worked,â said Sgt. Jerry Martinez of the Omaha Police Department. âIt was peaceful. No problem.â
Organizers were beyond thrilled.

Himes, a Lincoln native, said just over 2,000 marchers met outside the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Union on Saturday afternoon armed with signs, stickers and loud voices.
Across the country, over 670 affiliate marches popped up in collaboration with the Womenâs March on Washington. It is estimated that over 4.5 million people attended the marches, according to the Womenâs March on Washingtonâs official website. The event was created to promote unity and equal rights for all regardless of gender, race or religion in the wake of President Donald Trumpâs election.
Three marches happened in the state, taking place in Omaha, Lincoln and Loup City.
