I can see why Trump would hate pets and have distain for pet owners. Pets are physically and emotionally needy, they require work to train properly and care for. You literally have to deal with their shit and over time they reflect who you are, at least to a degree. You have to at least have some small modicum of empathy to relate to and care for a pet and Trump at his core is a deeply abusive, toxic narcissist.

That’s not why.

It’s because dogs and cats are excellent judges of character; and everybody in the room can see when a dog or cat thinks poorly of you.
