I hate to sound crass but Democrats should be working on getting potential voters the ID they need instead of waiting for election years to challenge these laws. We already know that this is the game Republicans play. Why not play the game too by getting the ID to our voters? Surely, the ID isn’t supernatural or impossible to get. Play the game until we can get these laws overturned by voting out Republicans.

This is the winning play at the forefront. Just my opinion, and I’m no Nate Silver or strategist. For all those millions that go into radio, robo calls, broadcast TV, robo calls, cable, mailers, did I mention robo?
Getting legit ID out to those that lack it has lasting impact that is positive. Slightly longer term thinking and tactics here folks. The GOP primary a few years ago showed us the short play is the wrong play. SCOTUS shows us this clearly. Not scolding anybody, just saying do stuff that sticks. It is also maybe crass, but you know how the evangelicals preach at the free Thx giving dinner?

Brand the safety net as progressive and modern, the moral high ground. The fact it’s us the neighbors that give a crap for real. Stop letting the bad guys define the language. Slightly edited for a paste fumble.
