Ratings. People are glued to their TVs all day and all night.

I think FOX has moved beyond the simple calculus of ratings = profit. After 3 years, they have realised that they’re the President of the United States, and that they control the country and all its institutions. No doubt there is still some sort of profit motive, but it’s not as small-time as convincing old white people to buy survival seeds. It’s going to be larger, on the scale of the military-industrial complex.
