That’s still being a warmonger, not a traitor. Bolton wasn’t doing it to benefit himself financially or to promote an adversary like Russia. He really believed that the right strategy was to remove Saddam Hussein from power and he didn’t care that the rationale was false.

It was puzzling why he joined this administration in the first place unless he thought Trump was merely an ignoramus that he could control and mold as he saw fit; for some reason he did not understand that Trump was a Russian asset who had no loyalty to this nation. Bolton isn’t stupid; how could he be so naive?
