I got my hair cut at a ‘black’ barbershop all the time in Chicago, because I lived in a ‘black’ neighborhood. Black people have all kinds of hair, so it wasn’t a big deal.
Sure, there’s plenty of racist black people. However, unlike racist white people, their racism doesn’t come from a history of oppression of white people, nor does it reflect still-extant privileges for black people.
So that is, actually, quite substantially different,
