No. They want Yanuk’s head on a platter. Some of them, perhaps literally, but the majority likely won’t be satisfied with anything less than either his resignation or his impeachment (which Article 111 of the Ukrainian Constitution allows for).
The Rada could defuse the situation somewhat by announcing they’re going to launch an investigation with an eye towards impeachment. That might cool things down.
It’s my understanding from discussions yesterday that the changes to the constitution have to go through Yanuk’s office for approval and the process could take time. If he stalls and drags his feet the opposition is not going to be happy.
the opposition has the momentum, I think they should keep rolling.
