I have never even been a fan of cruise control. I remember when it first became popular and friends would drive with their legs crossed up on the seat. Drove me crazy (actually, drove me to be the driver.)

About the only time I’ve used cruise control is driving either to/from LA/Vegas or LA/Phoenix. Long straight roads with nobody around.

The weirdest thing for me is my Challenger has cruise control and a manual transmission. Never use that because I’m always worried of stalling if I turn it off and forget to hit the clutch or gas.
