What I really wish is that someone publishes a study comparing dangers of indoor to outdoor dining. My friends and I have been assuming that outdoor dining does not present the same level of risk and so we have freely engaged in that activity, despite almost freezing to death during Chicago winters. But if there is a substantial risk associated with that activity, the public needs to know to make an informed decision.

My understanding is that the risk outdoors is low because virus loaded droplets don’t accumulate in the air the way they do indoors; they drift away.
