To nobody’s surprise, there is a huge amount of support for Jones at Free Republic.
To be fair, there is also a contingent of sanity advocates who gamely fight back against the book-burners, but they are very much in the minority.

Oddly, Fred Phelps, who is no crazier than Jones imho and espouses many of the same beliefs, is universally despised at FR.

Even stranger: Dove World Outreach is also homophobic and demonstrated shoulder to shoulder with Phelps in Gainesville at a Synagogue…
