Thought experiment - How would the NRA/gun lobby and currently hyperventilating wingnuts react if tomorrow POTUS made an announcement like this:

“With the exception of law enforcement & the military, beginning next week only White Christian men & women will be allowed to own firearms. All minorities—including, but not limited to, atheists, agnostics, deists, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans, and Asians—will be prohibited from buying, selling, or possessing any type of firearm. Anyone found breaking this new law will be subject to fines and/or federal imprisonment on felony charges.”

Do you suppose they’d still be so upset? I have to wonder…
