The question is, why would such a person do that:

Fundamentalism in America, especially the wacky TV kind, is very centered on ancient urges, in this case for warfare.

Very much so, “prosperity gospel” is about the elevation of social status to the divine. Another very old idea.

Now, you and I may ask, doesn’t Trump’s past infidelities mark him out as being, well, something less than an ideal figurehead for Christianity? But the gospel preacher sez:

Yup, for sure….

I have no love for these Pulpit Pimps who promise pie in the sky when you die as long as you follow your corporate masters on Earth, vote Republican and tithe to the TV Preacher of your choice.

Remember that to get to heaven, you got to be preyed up AND paid up!
