This is similar to the way I thought about French’s exposure to the vileness within the GOP. I feel sorry for their kids, but not for them. I’ve followed both their writings and careers for years, and instead of using their platforms to oppose the open, and rampant, racism, misogyny, xenophobia, birtherism, homophobia, Islamophobia, etc. that was staring them in the face every d*mn day, they chose to ignore it and use it to elevate their status in the GOP, and to make money.
