I’m often unenthusiastic about my rides during the last half of them. But since my route is generally out-and-back, the last half is too late to decide I didn’t want to go as far.

Funny how that works. I remember my old boss getting mad at me for coming in late one morning, back when I used to ride BEFORE work. I’d had a flat, and it took time to fix it. He said, “If you got a flat, you should have turned around and headed back!”

I told him that this flat occurred after I’d already turned around.

MOST flats do. There’s a reason for that.

My long runs are all out and backs right now. But hell, I was done this morning (with a 2 and a half hour run!) before I normally leave for my short runs.

Which is probably contributing to my brain being mush right now.
