Where is DeSantis? Between a rock and a hard place. His policy of basically ignoring covid isn’t working. Trump got booed by suggesting people get a vaccine so DeSantis can’t start encouraging people to take covid seriously. Going into hiding is about his only option at this point. Meanwhile, rona’s enjoining free rein in all the red states.

Blue states are having problems too. Per worldometer, Illinois has the highest new case level ever, a third above our previous record high, and the reported deaths for yesterday were the highest since late February. Of course, much of the problem relates to the high level of unvaccinated in blue states. But this is sweeping almost everywhere throughout this country.
