I read a dissection of the first book that left me fairly uninterested.

LOL well, you could check it out from the library and decide for yourself. I only let critics influence whether or not I’ll go see a movie, because that’s a lot of $$ for a couple of hours of my time. Usually I get more out of reading.

I found it pretty thought-provoking myself. It is good science fiction…not “hard” science fiction, but extremely plausible nonetheless. Of course the idea of televised death matches is hardly new, even ones involving kids, but Collins puts her own unique spin on it.
