Perhaps Egypt’s liberals & secularists would be better off making strong, organized moves towards addressing things such as corruption & bribery, poverty, women’s rights, etc. instead of worrying about censorship of internet pornography. Part of what made the MB popular to begin with was their provision of social services.

The liberals and secularists were steamrolled in the elections. I don’t think the problem was messaging or their policies. The MB was much better organized and already had political infrastructure in place. I really don’t think the liberals stood a chance.
