There was a time when I would actually consider certain GOP candidates for some offices. Heck, I might have voted for Mitt Romney as Governor had I lived in Massachusetts in 2002, and I supported John McCain in the 2000 primaries.

But I cannot imagine the current GOP even nominating anyone I would consider for more than a few seconds.

The GOP’s love affair with the Religious Right turned me off from the party entirely. McCain’s selection of Palin was one of the many symptoms of the disease. How ironic that the candidate the party got after all that ass-kissing of the RR was someone who has barely any connection to religion or the Bible.
