I think if you scratch the rich sociopaths of the the GOP establishment, you’ll find a fuckwit mentioned in my list just below the surface. I think they’re just as depraved and hateful as the people they consider their marks—they just wear nicer suits.

It’s hard to say how the numbers actually break down, but I think a good fraction of these GOP sociopaths are totally indifferent to anything except their marginal tax rates. If they were all or mostly true believers in GOP propaganda, I think there’d be more signs of this from corporate America. There’s a CEO here and there that’s a true believing wingnut, but that seems to be a small fraction of Republican corporate executives.
