Funny you should say this, because it’s very similar to the logic used by the alt-left to demand an end to “Russiagate” - they claim that any sort of tension between the US and Russia could lead to an incident like this which in turn could trigger WWIII. Therefore, the US should do absolutely nothing to risk worse relations with Russia and anyone who pursues “Russiagate” (which they liken to yet another Iraq/WMD false flag) is a warmonger who’ll get everyone killed.
