The power of the Intertubes — After the remark upthread about the Association’s hit “Windy,” I went to Wikipedia to find out more about it. Went to the Association entry. Read that Leonard Bernstein referred to “Along Comes Mary” in one of his Young People’s Concerts shows. In the same show, he mentions several other compositions, including “Norwegian Wood,” “You Really Got Me,” and “Secret Agent Man,” along with several classical pieces.
Anyway, I ended up listening to “Fêtes,” by Claude Debussy, a composer I know little about. And I learned stuff, besides.
