Yeah. Sort of like “hate people X” versus “I want you to go out there and kill the X people.”

Of course the Egyptians are just fucking with him because he’s a problem and a dickhead but under American understanding of freedom you can pray for your god to kill or hate people but you can’t say you’re god says it’s ok to kill people. The former is imaginary and more or less harmless, the latter is a religious justification/obligation to commit a crime.
