That’s almost as bad as the never-ending I-86 project in NYS. They’re converting Route 17 to I-86, and they’ve done it in a bunch of spots, but there’s a few areas where they’ve got to still eliminate grade level crossing traffic. Actual traffic lights and intersections. Figure another decade to finish. Maybe.

It’s nuts.

Ha. They’re going to untangle Spaghetti Junction in Louisville, build a new downtown I-65 bridge, and finally build the bridge east of the city that’s been in the works for 30 years. A related project is to make most of the surface streets two-way again, after having one-way traffic for at least four decades.

Driving in downtown Louisville will be a nightmare for the next several years.
