Here’s the real problem with the Stanford Hoover academics - they are in love with the era of the formation of American foreign dominance - basically 1900-1950. They want to analyze it over and over, and I think romanticize the policy processes.

But I think that is woefully narrow minded. It really does have on an Americana blindfold, found in the same dresser-drawer as the other blindfolds which dominate the Trump crowd and the allied War Hawk crowd.
