Bishop Curry (who delivered the great sermon at the royal wedding) is on AM Joy. She asked him if the royal family knew what his sermon was going to be since it was so different for a royal wedding.

With a big ol’ smile on his face he said (paraphrasing). “Oh yes, I submitted an document a few weeks before. But, if you know preachers, it really was just an outline to work from.”

Bishop Curry is a winner. I’m not all that “churchy” but I’d listen to Bishop Curry just because of how fun he is. He left an impression on that wedding for sure.

On June 23 he’s preaching in La Crosse WI and our parish is taking a number of us down there to hear him. I am so looking forward to it - he’s one of the best things to happen to my church since they got involved in the civil rights movement, perhaps even since Jonathan Daniels’ winess.
