To be fair though, Gus, Reagan’s big moves in Latin America were:

1. Grenada, which was justified by the Soviet airfield being built and the endangered Americans. That action also worked and resulted in a freer and more prosperous island, a rare happy ending.

2. Nicaragua, a far more ambiguous situation. One marked by the ‘bad op’ that was Iran-Contra, but that was ultimately an attempt to disable a Communist regime engaged in exporting terrorism and insurgency.
