It is just another end-round against legislation that gives a woman the right to choose what to do with a pregnancy. They cannot and will not countenance it and will advance any argument to try to make it illegal.

Whilch, in the end, will not prevent it, just make it a punishable act and make them feel like their society is closer to basking in God’s approval.
