It looks like Hillary Clinton’s speech tomorrow about Donald Trump’s ties to the ‘alternative right’ has his team members in an absolute panic. Watching Anderson Cooper on CNN right now previewing and discussing with the panel that includes two Trump high-level campaign workers has them twisting in all kind of knots. Between denying their association with white nationalism, and saying that Trump hired Steve Bannon from Brietbart for his communication skills and not for his beliefs (and claiming that he has nothing to do with the alt-right in the same breath), it’s got the rest of the panel completely dumbfounded.
Additonally, in the conversation is Trump’s failure to disavow David Duke and other neo-Nazis who have openly supported him, as well as his repeated use of images both online and in campaign rallies that originated with white nationalists.
