Here in NC, I was the first person to vote in my municipal precinct at almost 8 a.m. The polls open at 6:30, but there are no contested races in my municipality. Nevertheless, the poll workers could not get my voter affirmation sheet to print out for nearly 10 minutes.

Also the NC Board of Elections site to look up where to vote and get a sample ballot for your area crashed this morning when staff made a configuration error in the software in anticipation of higher search activity today. This does not bode well for 2020, especially with voter ID scheduled to kick in.
