Trump strikes a chord because he is addressing issues that for too long have been ignored.

While I may not agree with or like all his ideas, he addresses them.

The China trade deficit and ‘fair trade vs free trade’ for example, strikes a visceral chord- and that is not necessarily a bad thing.
